What’s on my Needles

Just wanted to give you all a quick update on what I have been up to. I know it’s been a while, I’m actually still sick so I’ve been short on energy lately.

Anyway, a few weeks ago I was commissioned by one of my mother’s coworkers to make a sweater. My mother being my mother was bragging about me at work and showing off my portfolio. When Julie (the coworker) saw my Pisces Cardigan she fell in love and just had to have one. Before I got started we had a short consultation and I suggested that we go with the LB Collection^® Angora Merino yarn since it has a similar look to yarn I used for the original design. Also there is a nice variety of colors so I knew she would find something she liked.

I made a few small changes to the design to make it a little more special for Julie. One of my favorite details that I added was the cable design at the cap of the sleeve. It’s a really minor change but I thought it ended up looking so sophisticated.

All of the pieces are done now.  I just have to sew them all together and add the button band and collar. Once it’s done I’ll be sure to post photos and make the pattern available in Ravelry! (I’ll have to charge for this pattern since it will be very complicated to write.)
