Posable Amigurumi Patterns Part1 – The Body

I mentioned in a previous post that I was making some amigurumis of me and my boyfriend at his request and they’re all done! I have provided the patterns so you can have fun with changing the colors to make them your own if you’d like. They’re a very basic shape so make a great base for any kind of custom ami. I’ll be posting the patterns for their clothing next week so stay tuned!

Knit Pattern (Girl)

Materials:
set of size 6 double pointed needles
skein of Cotton-Ease in Berry
skein of Cotton-Ease in Hazelnut

Directions:
CO 4sts with Berry Cotton-Ease
Row 1: M1 in each st.
Row 2: Repeat.
Row 3: Work even.
Rows 4 & 5: Repeat rows 2 and 3.
Rows 6-11: Work even.
Row 12: Inc 1 every third st.
Row 13: Work even.
Row 14: Switch to Hazelnut yarn. Work even.
Rows 15-19: Work even.
Row 20: Dec 1 every third st.
Row 21: Work even.
Rows 22 & 23: Repeat rows 20 & 21
Row 24: Switch to Berry yarn. Work even.
Row 25: Dec 1 every third st.
Rows 26-27: Work even.
Row 28: Switch to Hazelnut yarn. Work even.
Row 29: Dec 1 every fourth st.
Row 30: Work even.
Row 31: Dec 1 every other st.
Row 32: Work even.
Row 33: Inc 1 ever other stitch.
Rows 34 & 35: Repeat rows 33 & 34
Rows 36-41: Work even.
Rows 42 & 43: Dec 1 every other st.
Rows 44-46: Work even.
Row 47: Dec 1 every third st.
Row 48: Work even.
Rows 49-50: Dec 1 every other st.

Cut the yarn leaving a long tail and pull it through the remaining stitches using a tapestry needle.

Crochet Pattern (Boy)

Materials:
size J crochet hook
skein of Cotton-Ease in Lake
skein of Cotton-Ease in Hazelnut

Directions:
Ch2 with Lake Cotton-Ease, making the first chain larger than normal. 8 sc in first chain, join
Rows 1 & 2: In 1 every other sc.
Rows 3: In 1 every third sc.
Rows 4: Work even in back loop.
Row 5-7: Work even.
Row 8: In 1 every third sc.
Row 9: Switch to Hazelnut yarn. Work even.
Row 10: Work even
Row 11: Dec 1 every other sc.
Row 12: Work even.
Rows 13 & 14: Repeats rows 11 & 12
Row 15: Dec 1 every other sc.
Row 16: 2 sc in every sc.
Row 17: Inc 1 every other sc.
Row 18: Work even
Row 19: Inc 1 every third sc.
Row 20: Work even.
Row 21: Inc 1 every other sc.
Row 22: (Dec 1) repeat for entire row.
Row 23: Work even
Row 24: Dec 1 every other sc.

Sl st to opposite side of the row to close the hole. Break off yarn.
